Learn how to create an effective video and get your message out

Nothing is more important than ensuring your business reputation is of the highest standing. But given current multimedia requests where the press turns up with not just a notebook but a video camera, are you confident at video presentation? These days it is important to have the ability to handle a video interview effectively and show your organisation in the best possible light.

Cambridge TV is offering a practical, time-efficient programme where participants will be trained in how to handle an interview, and come away with a video they can use, tailored to the needs of their company and with content specific to their own organisation.

In one and a half days you’ll learn to articulate your company’s story and choose the best way to communicate it. You’ll have time between sessions to develop your ideas for a script, identify extra footage to bring the video to life and make your piece more than just a talking head.

Training, supported by professional video journalists and editors, includes presentation styles, techniques, shaping narratives and visual stories. There will also be practice for a studio interview, a question and answer style of interview, and a presenter led interview.  Groups are deliberately small to ensure maximum support is available.

The cost is £1,500 for the course. There is a special rate for Cambridge Network members of £750. To express your interest, email Bob Coates on bob@cambridge-tv.co.uk or call 01223 750890. The first half day will take place in the morning.

There is a choice of dates of Thursday 15 December, or Tuesday 20 December or Friday 13 January. The full day will then follow on Tuesday 17 January, or Wednesday 18 January or Thursday 19 January.

Cambridge TV is based at Signet Court in Cambridge, just off Newmarket Road, and has been creating content for broadcast since August 2015. The company makes a range of programmes both in custom built studios and in the community. The interlinked business Cambridge TV School has already trained many people in a range of core through to advanced television skills.
