Manage your stress! Novel product launch to balance your cortisol levels

Bupa reports that 6 million people in the UK have been stressed for a year or longer. Chronic stress affects a variety of functions in the body and cortisol, the main stress hormone, causes damage if it is produced in excess (or insufficiently). A new dietary supplement could play a role in the non-drug treatment of stress-related issues.

YTE is a dietary supplement with published studies that show modulation of cortisol levels and an improvement in anxiety and in mild to moderate depression.

Chronic stress is a result of our modern lifestyles and evolution has not yet caught up to deal with this. A stress or threat used to be a temporary thing and the body produces stress hormones to help cope with the threat and switches that production off when the threat has gone.

The main stress hormone is cortisol. We need some of it but too much (or too little) results in problems. With chronic stress the normal feedback system is blunted and problems occur. One aspect of the solution to stress looks at normalising these hormone levels.

Stress also affects the brain with research showing cytokines causing neuroinflammation so we also look at how we can help the brain to function normally.

Full product info can be found on www.ytestress.co.uk and separate articles on the link with specific issues are available on request. (e.g. Alzheimer's, diabetes, psoriasis, irritable bowel syndrome, premenstrual syndrome, fibromyalgia, conception, pregnancy, alcohol abuse)

YTE is a dietary supplement made from fertilised hen eggs that have been incubated for a specific number of days. At that time they contain a wide range of peptides and enzymes (and in the ratio that nature intended) to support a wide range of functions. Many of them have been shown to have neuroprotective and neurotransmitter properties. Even at the best of times the brain does not receive its ideal mix of nutrients.

YTE has published studies that show a modulation of cortisol levels (the hormonal aspect) and an improvement in anxiety and in mild to moderate depression (the neurological aspect).

Several of the YTE ingredients have known neuroprotective and neurotransmitter properties so we will continue to study the effect on other symptoms for the potential applications mentioned above. At this stage the product could benefit you if you have any of the above but we can not yet make any claims other than for anxiety and depression.

This is an exciting development based on the continuous advancement of knowledge and could play a role in the non-drug treatment of stress-related issues.
