MCS appointed for the launch of Cambridge Ahead

MCS has been appointed to develop branding, a website and manage the social media for Cambridge Ahead, the new business, large employer and academic member organisation dedicated to the successful growth of the city region in the long term.

MCS, the creative marketing agency based in Bury St Edmunds, was formally appointed after impressing the management board of Cambridge Ahead with its preliminary planning and branding work. Cambridge Ahead is a new business and academic member group which aims to deliver soundly-based opinion and advice to local and national government about the opportunities and needs of the city region. Its core objective is to support long-term growth by working with a wide range of partners including Cambridge Network, the Local Enterprise Partnership, the three councils of the region and CambridgeBID.

The official launch of Cambridge Ahead will be in the city on Friday 15th November. MCS is working with partner PR agency, Crosland Communications, to deliver all the necessary marketing services including brand identity, a website, a social media presence, and additional collateral.

On MCS’ appointment, Jane Paterson-Todd, CEO of Cambridge Ahead, said, “We were impressed with MCS’ approach, and since then their work has met all expectations. We are conscious of the fact that we need to explain our purpose clearly, and the identity and website that they are creating for us helps us do this. Our success depends on creating successful partnerships and MCS’ output will enable us to work closely with our partners. We are looking forward very much to the launch and working to make Cambridge the best, small city in the world. ”

Lloyd Hancock, Creative Business Partner of MCS said, “We’re really excited with this opportunity. It’s not often that an agency gets a chance to develop a wholly new identity for an organisation of such importance. When the website goes live, we’re sure it will help Cambridge Ahead communicate its purpose, vision and objectives clearly to the Cambridge business and academic community.”
