The candidates, who are all currently studying at university, boast an impressive list of credentials, which have led them to being selected for the busy two-week internship at Method.
Elisha Jacobs, a Graphics and Communication student at Leeds University, says she was attracted to the internship due to its hand-on nature, “I really wanted to gain some real world experience rather than just make cups of tea for two weeks. I’m looking forward to putting the skills I have learnt at university to the test and learning in a highly creative environment.”
Louis Jani, an English Literature student who has previously completed a placement with The Telegraph’s social media team, explained what attracted him to the industry: “I like that marketing combines two different worlds and allows you to produce creative content whilst also being business minded.”
Zoe Dean, who is also studying for a degree in English Literature at Newcastle University, said: “I felt that undertaking an internship was important for me to gain some real world experience and learn first hand the reality of the industry.”
Kirsten Corrigan, brand and strategy director at Method, said: “These candidates have been chosen for their excellent achievements and credentials. The programme will provide them with invaluable experience within the industry. We are putting the candidates through their paces, giving them as much real life experience as possible.”
The candidates will be working on a live brief and developing a campaign, which they will then present in a real life pitch to a panel, which includes Cambridge News’ Mike Scialom, on Friday 26 August 2016.
Meet the interns on the Cambridge News Facebook page from 12pm on Tuesday 23 August 2016.
