Nominations sought for 2014 WISE Awards

The annual WISE Awards celebrate female talent in science, technology and engineering - from classroom to boardroom. In 2014, which marks the 30th anniversary of the WISE campaign, the WISE Awards categories have been re-aligned to fit into two strategic areas.

The first group of awards is for individual women and girls who are ideal role models to inspire the next generation of girls.  The second group recognises teachers, careers advisers and recruitment campaigns for growing the talent pipeline. Last but not least, nominations are invited from employers, leaders and champions who are making a difference to the position of women in their organisation or sector. The categories are listed below..

The deadline for nominations is Friday 22 August.

The compere for the Awards ceremony, which takes place on Thursday 13 November 2014 at the Grange Hotel Tower Bridge, London, will once again be Alice Bhandhukravi, Reporter/Presenter, BBC London TV News.

Sarah Shaw, Wise Campaign., says: "In 2014, our 30th year, we are hosting a daytime programme of speakers, workshops and knowledge sharing sessions on the subject of 'The STEM workforce we want to build for the next 30 years,' followed by a black tie dinner and awards ceremony. We have once again invited Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal to present the Awards as patron of the WISE campaign."
