Orchard talk and wassailing at Wandlebury this weekend

Take in the wonders of the park in winter. Enjoy a guided walk; learn about orchards and their upkeep; test your orienteering skills; and have a go at the ancient custom of wassailing. Be captivated by folklore stories; dress an orchard tree and follow all this with hearty drinks and toasting marshmallows around an open fire.

Find out more about traditional orchards, their management and restoration in a guided walk whilst children can learn the skill of orienteering in a session that will show them the wonder of the country park in winter. Meet at the Inner Ring near CambridgePPF offices/WCs.

Wassailing, story-telling and dress a tree in the orchard – 3.30pm
