Poppy Dinner raises funds for the Royal Anglian Benevolent Fund

The Poppy Dinner on Remembrance Day (November 11th) is a special tribute to the bravery of soldiers of the Royal Anglian Regiment who have served in conflicts all over the world. It will be an occasion to thank the soldiers themselves, for their commitment, service and sacrifice to help us keep our freedoms, and to raise funds for the Regiment’s Benevolent Charity.

Organised and sponsored by Catherine Jones of Cambridge, each guest ticket sold will include a place for a member of the Regiment, past or present. The Regiment will seek to find representatives from all actions since WW2 to be guests.

Great British Menu star Mark Poynton, chef patron of Michelin-starred Restaurant Alimentum in Cambridge, will create the menu with ingredients and wines being sourced from the Anglian region, where possible.

Since World War II, The Royal Anglian soldiers have seen service in many conflicts including Singapore, Korea, Aden, Cyprus, as well as N Ireland, Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan
