Robinson College harnesses the #powerof657 for The Muscle Help Foundation Charity Dinner

Robinson College is teaming up with national charity The Muscle Help Foundation (MHF) to host the #powerof657 Charity Dinner at 7:00pm on Wednesday 30th September 2015; an exceptional evening of fine dining in the heart of Cambridge.

Guests will look forward to a sumptuous three-course dinner with matching wines and a special auction full of luxurious prizes, the proceeds of which will go directly to MHF. This gala evening precedes clic+2015 which takes place at the college the following day.

MHF is a multi-award winning family charity (with national reach) delivering transformational experiences in the UK called 'Muscle Dreams' for children and young people with the muscle wasting disease, Muscular Dystrophy (MD) and allied neuromuscular conditions – the disease affects some 70,000 people across the UK. Whether interviewing global movie icon Al Pacino, spending time in the great outdoors with Ray Mears or hanging out with racing driver Lewis Hamilton, the charity works tirelessly to make these highly personalised 'Muscle Dream' experiences a reality.

The charity's latest campaign, which lends its name to this dinner, is the #powerof657 – MHF's aim is to deliver a total of 657 'Muscle Dreams', one for every muscle in the human body. To date, 202 Muscle Dreams have been delivered. Since its launch, the #powerof657 campaign has seen a 129% increase in web traffic with a reach of 5.2 million. The charity's preferred minimum donation of £6.57 reflects its new tiered giving levels that encourage sponsors to for example donate £657 or set-up a #powerof657 challenge to raise £6,570 in return for headlining one of its programmes.

Commenting on the event Nick Milne, conference and catering manager at Robinson College said: "We are delighted to be hosting The Muscle Help Foundation for this special occasion. I hope this event will increase awareness of the impact and incredible work of this wonderful charity. We are passionate about playing our part to ensure everyone has a delicious meal and a very enjoyable evening. I would like to take this opportunity to encourage local businesses to attend, in addition to raising money for an outstanding cause that changes lives and gives hope; it also represents a great networking opportunity as well as an excellent platform to entertain clients / colleagues."

Michael McGrath, founder and CEO of The Muscle Help Foundation and also the first and currently only disabled person in the world to have successfully led expeditions to both the North and South Poles said: "I am delighted to be taking part at this year's clic+2015 event at Robinson College. I look forward to engaging hearts and minds in sharing more about the work and impact of the charity. I attended clic+2014 last year and was impressed by the rich content, execution and opportunity to network. This year, we're thrilled to be the sole beneficiary from the #powerof657 Charity Dinner. I'm confident that by the end of the evening's proceedings, every guest will not only be a #powerof657 advocate but will also want to join our Muscle Warrior tribe in supporting future activities."

Tickets for the #powerof657 charity dinner are £50+ VAT and accommodation for the evening can be purchased from the clic+ 2015 website
