Cambridge brand, graphic design and copy writing agency Sable&Hawkes has delivered a new visual arts project for Gt Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Giraffe ward, which treats children with cancer and leukaemia, is the latest in a decade-long relationship that has seen Sable deliver over 30 individual arts and environment projects for the trust.

Sable&Hawkes Environment NHS Environment Design Graphic

Sable&Hawkes has an established reputation for environment graphic design (using design techniques to create mood, ambience and wayfinding within environments) particularly for the NHS and health sector but also for general office and business environments – this latest project is another manifestation of that.

The Covid pandemic has slowed down the facility improvements and upgrade program at GOSH – Giraffe Ward is the most recent ward in this programme and as Adrian Kimpton of Sable says; "We are always delighted to assist in any way we can. The benefits of disarming, distracting and calming environments are well known and we always hope, just in our very very small way, that if we can help deliver just a little of even one of these effects through our environment work then it makes what we do worthwhile. The team at GOSH are so talented and committed that its an abolute pleasure and honour to help whenever we can."

Sable&Hawkes continues to work on a number of health and business environment design proejects.
