We get it – it works, it’s familiar. But here’s the catch: after 14 October, Windows 10 reaches end of life.
Microsoft is rolling out its Extended Security Updates (ESU) scheme, which means you CAN keep using it safely after support ends – but at a price:
💰 Year 1 (Nov 2025 - Nov 2026): around £48 per device
💰 Year 2 (Nov 2026 - Nov 2027): around £96 per device
💰 Year 3 (Nov 2027 - Nov 2028): around £193 per device
It all adds up and it’s a lot of money if you calculate it over three years, just to keep getting security updates.
Oh, and if you skip a year, you’ll have to pay for the previous years too. Microsoft isn’t messing around.
Once those three years are up, that’s it. No more updates. 🚫
Why sink costs into an outdated system? Upgrade to Windows 11 instead.
Here’s why upgrading sooner rather than later is the smarter move:
- Stronger security: Windows 11 has built-in protections that Windows 10 will never get (even with ESUs).
- Improved performance
- AI-powered features: Copilot AI is built in, helping your team work smarter.
- Future-proofing: New software, tools, and integrations will be optimised for Windows 11 (but not for Windows 10).
Next step?
Check device compatibility and start planning. Waiting only makes it harder later.
So, what’s your move – upgrade now or risk falling behind?
