With an average of 700 individual follicle hairs on each upper lip and half an inch of growth for each individual, over half a mile of hair was grown during the campaign!
Organiser, Chris Owen said:‘We are delighted to have exceeded our target of £8,000 through the generosity of so many employees and also particularly including a Company donation from Marshall Aerospace. I would like to thank everyone who donated to this fantastic cause.’
A Trial Flying Lesson over Cambridge in a Cessna 172 of the Cambridge Aero Club was awarded for the ‘Best Mo in Show’, which was won by Kyle Saunders, with a very impressive moustache. Second ‘Best Mo in Show’ was won by Ian Macdonald, whilst prize for ‘MOst money raised’ was awarded to Chris Bunney, who raised an impressive £1,240. Other impressive fundraisers were the Marshall Aerospace Team in Canada, who call themselves the MarCFscade MOjito MOsketeers, who raised $2,015 CAD and Toyota Tashes of the Marshall Motor Group in Peterborough who raised £490.
A MO-Down event was held at Cambridge at the end of November to award prizes and to compare moustaches, where some impressive and luxuriant growth was judged by Terry Holloway, Group Support Executive of Marshall of Cambridge and Tricia Bareham, Secretary to the Chief Executive of Marshall Aerospace.
Terry Holloway said: "Our employees have had an enormous amount of fun during Movember this year growing and cultivating some very impressive hair, which came in all shapes, sizes and colours! We had a really fun event comparing facial hair, which was enjoyed by all."

Strong growth for Marshall in Movember!

Over 100 Marshall employees from across the Group of Companies, including Canada and the Netherlands, took part in this year’s Movember event, raising over £10,000 for this important charity, which supports men’s health and prostate cancer.
