Sharon Sumner writes:
Our office is full of technical consultants, developers, architects and analysts who are really passionate about the latest developments in the tech space, and were eagerly following the announcements from Microsoft's Ignite conference last week . As the company's self confessed non-techy however, the excited techno-babble that has whizzing around our office for the past few days has generally flown right over my head. While I'm sure that it's wonderful that the new SharePoint framework is using TypeScript for Enterprise class development, to those of us who are daily, non-technical end users, it means very little in terms of the tangible benefits it will bring to our day to day working lives.
That's why, while our developers, architects and consultants are discussing the exciting technical developments from last week's Ignite conference, I am choosing instead to talk about the new announcements and features that will directly impact us as daily end users, and make our working days easier.
Starting tomorrow with the newly released features for PowerPoint, I will be exploring those announcements that in my opinion are the most useful for people like me who use Office 365 tools on a daily basis: Marketers, Communicators, Salespeople, HR, and anyone else who just wants to get stuff done!
Check back tomorrow to see how new PowerPoint designer makes the creation of stunning presentations so easy, that it feels like cheating...
