NeuroString: a soft multi-modal 1D sensing fiber for the brain and guts

Zhenan Bao is K.K. Lee Professor of Chemical Engineering at Stanford University Department of Chemical Engineering and founded the Stanford Wearable Electronics Initiative (eWEAR), serving as its faculty director. She co-founded venture start-ups C3Nano, Inc. and PyrAmes and is an advising Partner for FUSION Ventures Capital. Currently, she has over 800 refereed publications and more than 80 US patents.

Implications of the methods, findings, and applications of Zhenan’s pioneering work will be highlighted in the post-presentation discussion with George Malliaras (Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge). He will encourage engagement and audience participation by posing your questions to Zhenan.

The talk will be followed by small-group, breakout-room networking, offering you the opportunity to connect with others interested in the potential of neurotech to treat life-limiting conditions.
