The University of Cambridge is one of the world's oldest universities and leading academic centres. If you're looking for a new challenge and would like excellent benefits, extensive learning opportunities and a stimulating working environment in return for your skills and contribution, there could be a job here for you.

People are at the heart of everything we do at Pathology, so why not join our professional services team as a Junior Laboratory Technician. We can offer a welcoming work environment where you can feel valued, encouraged to develop, and supported to achieve your full potential.

You will support research work in the Department of Pathology's laboratories at its Addenbrooke's Hospital site, and at its Tennis Court Road site when required. The role holder will provide a glassware-washing, autoclaving and waste removal service. Ideally you will have some relevant experience of working in a laboratory, although an aptitude for this type of work is more important as full training will be provided. Basic awareness of health and safety, the ability to adhere to Standard Operating Procedures reliably, good communication skills, the ability to prioritise your workload and to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. You will also be reliable and have good timekeeping skills.
