The University of Cambridge Estate Division are looking to recruit a Trainee Building Surveyor to their Asset Management Team, supporting the Building Surveyors in all duties connected with alteration, repair and maintenance of the Estate.

The role holder will be expected to undertake a structured programme of learning via a University course accredited by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors with a view to graduating at degree level in Building Surveying. This course will be funded by Estate Division and time will be allocated during the working week to attend University.

The ideal candidate will be educated to at least A-level (or equivalent) standard with excellent organisational and communication skills. A knowledge of drawing and IT systems is desirable.

Fixed-term: 5 years.

This post is graded at University Grade 1 level (£21,828 pa) within the University salary structure, increasing 1 grade per year to a maximum of Grade 5 level at the end of the 5 year contract on successful completion of set targets.
