The mission of Abcam's events is to help scientists discover more. With a team of six (based in Cambridge, UK and Boston, US), Abcam works hand-in-hand with industry experts to offer over 40 non-profit, high quality networking events and live webinars.
Events
Abcam events enable scientists to present their research and network to strengthen collaborations and forge new relationships. The company says: "We are extremely proud of our record of attracting top scientists to present their unpublished work and to take part in discussions on current developments taking place within their fields.
"We also strive to provide a platform for students/young postdocs to present their work and to give them the opportunity to network with key scientists and opinion leaders. Many prestigious/top scientists have attended our events, including Nobel prize winners:
- Sir John Gurdon (Physiology or Medicine 2012)
- Sir Martin Evans (Physiology or Medicine 2007)
- Sir Tim Hunt (Physiology or Medicine 2001)
- Sir Paul Nurse (Physiology or Medicine 2001)
Webinars
"Scientists can watch and participate in our webinars from the comfort their labs. Presented by guest speakers and experienced Abcam personnel, these live webinars cover both the latest news in research and popular protocols/techniques. These webinars are interactive and attendee questions are answered in real time."
