B2B telemarketing: a case study

So what did we do? After identifying a list of criteria and working out Tania’s target area, matching data was then purchased. Following this, we contacted 50 businesses (initially comprised of restaurants, pubs and hotels) through telemarketing to try and arrange meetings between Tania and the managers or owners of these establishments.

While on the phone, we were able to explain that Tania helps businesses with things such as communication problems (that often occur due to shift patterns or staff changes), beating procrastination and prioritising work, as well as motivating and engaging staff. We were also able to make them aware of the wealth of experience she holds and the free 45 minute motivational workshops that are available as an introduction to her and her business.

We were able to set up five meetings for Tania, and after a recent catch up with her, it looks hopeful that one of them will be a return on investment very soon. Tania was also provided with a detailed report, with lead ratings (including three which were hot) and notes regarding each call. Included in this were many email addresses, which she could use to develop the relationships that we have started to create and to contact more people, raising further awareness of her business.
