Cambridge’s Centre for Computing History joins the Cosmic Shambles Forest of Science and Culture at Latitude Festival 2025

The Centre for Computing History (CCH) is delighted to be bringing the fascinating history of computing to The Cosmic Shambles Forest of Science and Culture at Latitude Festival this summer!

Unlike anything Latitude has hosted before, The Cosmic Shambles Forest of Science and Culture is a bold and wondrous new space at the heart of Henham Park: part science festival, part book club, part comedy club, part music gig, part interactive museum, and all wonder!

CCH’s pop-up exhibit will offer retro gaming and coding experiences, giving festival-goers the chance to get up close and personal with vintage computers that changed the way we live and communicate. It will provide a taste of how our Cambridge-based museum explores the way technology has shaped our world over the last 80 years.

Lizzie Salter, Partnerships & Development Manager at the Centre for Computing History, said:

We’re thrilled to be part of The Cosmic Shambles Forest of Science and Culture at Latitude. It’s a brilliant opportunity to bring computing history to new audiences in a fun, informal, and inspiring environment. Technology is part of all our lives – exploring how we got here can help us shape where we go next.

Cosmic Shambles co-founder Trent Burton added

Having worked with CCH previously at Cosmic Shambles, we couldn’t be happier that they are joining us in the forest at Latitude. We know first-hand the sort of interactive fun they’ll bring to the festival goers in the forest. We’ll definitely be heading over to check it out ourselves between shows!

Join us at Latitude Festival 2025 for a weekend of science, music, art, culture, and computing history!
