Ten-25 are software developers who, for over three decades, have been creating profitable business systems for merchants, stockists, importers and agents.
This year, to make it easier for the different types of merchants to find the specific information they need, and to show how Ten-25 specialise for each merchant sector, they decided to create a separate website for each one; the first of which is for timber merchants. That’s when the idea of a promotional gift was born.
Ian began by telling us that he wanted it to be a key-shaped flash drive with Ten-25’s logo printed on both sides. He had already spotted one he liked, so we looked into purchasing this. Unfortunately, it was going to take too long for the key to be printed and delivered due to the company being based in Asia, so we set about finding a suitable alternative that could be made and delivered within our time frame. It didn’t take us long to find one, and soon we had engraved flash drives on order! We went for a gloss-black key with a silver logo to give a stylish, sleek and professional look.
Next, to package them! The basic requirements were that they needed to display the name of Ten 25’s trading software, UniTrade 360 for Timber Merchants, as well as the URL for their new website. After finding a company that could produce high-quality, printed boxes in time to meet our deadlines, we discussed various colour options which we requested their art department created mock-ups of. In the end, we chose a black box, with gold foil text and the website logo in a matt, bronze foil. All that was left was to decide what to fill the box with to stop the flash drive rattling around and getting damaged. In our efforts to make the gift truly bespoke, a little quirky and personal to the timber trade, we chose a wood straw filler to complete the look.
Once all of these items arrived in our office, we spent time carefully piecing them together and packaging them into boxes to be sent to The Landmark Hotel in London, the location for the event. We were delighted with how they turned out and we felt as though we had met the brief of producing a fun, useful and desirable promotional gift that was delivered on time under a fairly strict time span.
As a result of our hard work, at least 354 people in the timber trade received a promotional gift from Ten-25 at the TTJ Awards, spreading awareness of the company, its software and the new website.
