The students visited the company’s London headquarters as part of ‘A Capital Experience’, backed by over 60 major employers who opened their doors to students from across the country.
The inspirational visit gave the CRC students the opportunity to see the Aviva headquarters and look at different careers within the organisation, the UK’s leading insurer with nearly 30 million customers across the world.
The experience provided a practical look at the world of work in a global organisation – and lots of encouragement to aim high in their future careers.
Russ Lucier, CRC Progression Coach for Computing, said it had been a thought-provoking trip for the seven students.
“Visiting the Aviva headquarters was a great experience and gave the students the opportunity to think about their futures in a very practical way,” he said.
Earlier the students joined more than 1,300 students from over 200 schools and colleges at the Dominion theatre for a series of motivational and career talk.
The event, the UK’s biggest employer-led careers event attended by 1,300 students from across the country, was organised by Career Ready, a UK-wide charity linking employers with schools and colleges to open up the world of work to young people.
