CRC launches new online courses for businesses and employees

Cambridge Regional College has launched a series of specialist online courses for businesses and employees – giving them the chance to learn at their own pace and save time and money.

The short courses cover a range of subject areas, from health and safety in the workplace to qualifications in environmental awareness, people management and food hygiene.

Peter Wilson, responsible for the management and co-ordination of business-focused short courses at CRC, said online learning was a fast-growing area, with businesses keen to update their staff at minimal cost.

“A big benefit of online courses is the flexibility - people can learn at the time that suits them, and it is easy to track and prove progress. They also help save money by reducing the time taken away from work, and removing travel expenditure and printed material costs,” he said.

“Also, not everybody feels comfortable learning in a large group, especially if they find something difficult to understand. E-learning allows each individual to tackle the subject at their own pace, with interactive tasks to ensure a thorough understanding of each module.”

Courses start at just £15, with discounts for employers bulk-booking courses for staff.

Cambridge Regional College also offers a wide range of accredited and non-accredited short courses for employers, with bespoke training delivered at the college or at the company's site.
