Do you have a Big Idea for Cambridge in the Bloomberg Mayors Challenge?

These are tough times for public services – a time for doing things differently and for innovative approaches to come to the fore. Cambridge City Council invites you to put forward your Big Idea for consideration as the city’s entry to the Bloomberg Mayors Challenge.

Cambridge City Council writes:

The Big Idea needs to represent a new way of doing things and offer quality of life benefits for local poeple. It can cover a range of segments, including health and social care, sustainability, economic development, education, anti-poverty (there is a full list on the form below).

It should address a serious problem in Cambridge. You don’t need to be a part of the public sector or local government to contribute, but you will need to show how your idea will improve the quality of life of local people and improve services for residents. It must involve a new approach - one that has not been tried before in this format. Ideally for this round, because time is tight, you should already have a good understanding of the problem and appreciate the impact your solution can have.
