“Even if you’re not sure you want to vote, I would encourage you to register by 20 April so you have the option to vote on 7 May in the local and national elections.”

- If you know that you are not registered to vote or have moved recently you can register by visiting www.gov.uk/register-to-vote. You will need your National Insurance number to hand in order to register.
