Embedded Systems conference explores software reliability and safety

A strong theme of this week's UK Device Developers Conference is the development of software for reliable and safety critical systems

At this week's UK Device Developers' Conference, a key theme will be the tools and technologies that are available to ensure software code is safe and reliable. There will be workshops and technical presentations that discuss software certification, strategies for developing reliable code, code test technologies, modelling tools and project management tools for safety critical applications.

The UK Device Developers' Conference is a one-day conference for engineers and computer scientists involved in the development of embedded systems and real-time software. It is an event that explores the very latest tools and technologies available and includes a vendor exhibition, half-day technical workshops and a series of informative technical presentations.

"'Cost of failure' is a big concern for many of those working in embedded systems development," said Richard Blackburn, Conference Manger. "Software failures can result in hugely expensive recalls, or damage to the company's brand and reputation, or maybe sometimes, even loss of life. With software becoming ever more complex, tools have been developed to test and analyse code. We will have several vendors and experts in this field, available to discuss this increasingly important technology."

The Device Developers’ Conference is to take place in Reading, Cambridge, Warrington and Uphall (Scotland) during May and June 2015.  The Conference, including the technical presentations, is free to engineers and technical project managers. A small charge is made for places on the half-day technical workshops.
