Grand Arcade Cambridge announces exciting store updates

Owner of the Grand Arcade, Cambridge - Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) - has announced two exciting store updates.

Castle Fine Art has signed a new 10-year lease on a 3,500 sq ft unit. The store will feature an exceptional fit out, and incorporate a double height unit with natural light throughout. The unit will feature a gallery at ground floor level, with a bar area upstairs and and VIP room for personal viewings. The chain is owned by Castle Galleries, the UK’s leading chain of high street art galleries, which boasts 36 galleries around the UK.

GANT has agreed terms on a ten-year lease extension, on its 1,600 sq ft store on the ground floor of Grand Arcade. The space, occupied by GANT since 2008, has undergone an extensive programme of refurbishment in line with the Swedish clothing brand’s new store concept, which it is rolling out across its entire chain of outlets. The new-look outlet opened its doors for business at the start of the September.

This latest deal wraps up a strong year at Grand Arcade, Cambridge with lease extensions at TM Lewin, Phase Eight and The White Company. Swarowski also refitted its store along with a lease extension, while a refit at Pandora and the opening of Giorgio Armani in John Lewis underlines the Grand Arcade’s reputation as the leading high quality retail destination in the Cambridge city region.
