Have your say on proposals to improve Cherry Hinton High Street

Cambridgeshire County Council and Cambridge City Council seek local input to the Cherry Hinton High Street consultation on proposals to improve the lay-out, look and feel of the street.

Draft proposals include on-road changes to create up to 1.5m wide cycle lanes, the removal of the road centre line to slow traffic and other changes to traffic calming, the removal of bus lay-bys and the creation of new ‘floating’ bus stops where the cycle lane continues behind the stop.

The proposals also cover off-road changes to enhance the visual appeal and practical use of the High Street around Rectory Terrace shops, near the Library, by the Mill End Road shops and restaurant and at other places along the High Street.

This consultation includes a request for suggestions to improve the Robin Hood junction, in order to inform future full consultation proposals for a £900,000 redesign of the junction.
