Help a future Ada this Ada Lovelace Day

To celebrate Ada Lovelace Day next month, Workfinder is aiming to place scores of talented female University students into the innovative tech companies that are leading the way to improve diversity in technology by supporting and educating our next generation.

Workfinder group

Cambridge Network companies are encouraged to commit to taking two or more students for two weeks of tech-related work experience. You can select from one of Workfinder's pre written fully editable project briefs with easy to follow step-by-step schedules.

The team says: "Our goal is to have 100 female undergraduates doing two-week long projects with a range of amazing start-ups and scale-ups. We are desperate to find exciting companies to host these students and the Cambridge Network obviously sprung to mind.

"We appreciate this is a very busy time so we have designed complete, ready to use two-week project briefs and schedules for businesses and students."

The full list of tech-themed projects includes the following:

  •     Creative digital marketing
  •     Application testing
  •     UX testing and analysis
  •     Product development
  •     Building a proof of concept
  •     Web design

Companies are asked to register now and select what type of work experience you can offer. You will start receiving applications from Workfinder's community of talented students. Interview and make your offers quickly to secure the right talent for your business in time for an October placement.

Workfinder says: "During the week of Ada Lovelace Day 2020, 13th October, we will be doing a big push to showcase all who are involved in the campaign. We will shout about the great work you and your student teams have done."
