ICE highlights the case for infrastructure

The importance of infrastructure to the UK economy was highlighted in an interview on Cambridge TV with Glen Owen, Regional Director of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).

 

Glen explained that every pound invested in infrastructure returns £3. Compared to Europe the UK lags in some areas paricularly railways. ICE is urging the Government to commit to infrastructure during EU negotiations to help boost the UK economy. Glen also discussed ICE’s approach to devolution and the impact on the environment of improvements to our transport networks. The interview is available at the Cambridge TV website.
