IDS lifts the lid off developing touch and input sensing technology

Display technology specialist, Intelligent Display Solutions (IDS) will be exhibiting and presenting at this years' UK Device Developers' Conference, explaining how to implement touch and other input sensing technology.

The presentation will introduce microcontroller manufacturer Microchip's implementations for Touch and other Input Sensing applications and will cover such topics as touch screen, touch pad and 3D gesture controllers.

The UK Device Developers' Conference is a one-day conference for engineers and computer scientists involved in the development of intelligent systems and devices. It is an event that explores the very latest tools and technologies available and includes a vendor exhibition, half-day technical workshops and a series of informative technical presentations.

This year’s event is to be held in Reading (May 12th), Cambridge (May 14th), Warrington (June 2nd) and Uphall (Scotland - June 4th).

"Microchip has opened up their algorithms and techniques to engineers,” said Adrian Amor, Sales Director at IDS. “I will be explaining how this breakthrough will help developers to create robust, touch implementation on a vast range of PIC microcontrollers. In many ways, it has never been easier to add a modern intuitive user interface to a design and improve its ease of use, functionality and overall aesthetics.”

Intelligent Display Solutions is a specialist solutions provider to customers wishing to use optoelectronics in their products. These include custom and semi-custom solutions in the mono LCD and colour TFT areas.

“Display technology plays such a major role in the design and success of embedded systems that it would be hard to run this Conference without this expertise on board,” said Richard Blackburn, Conference Manager. “IDS are European leaders in this field and will bring a lot of real world experience and expertise to this event.”

The Conference, including a series of technical presentations and access to the exhibition, is free to attend, for engineers and technical project managers.
