Immunisation saves lives!

It is estimated that 26 million lives could be saved if immunisation programmes are implemented by international governments, says The Travel Clinic.

Immunisation already prevents millions of deaths and uncounted illnesses. If governments take initiative and run immunisation programs that increase access to affordable vaccines for diseases that are vaccine-preventable and, work together in supporting countries to deliver life-saving vaccines, this figure could be reached by 2024 if vaccination campaigns began now.

Dr Thomas Cherian from the Department of Immunisation, Vaccines and Biologicals said. “Together, we can make the Global Vaccine Action Plan vision ― a world in which all individuals and communities enjoy lives free from vaccine-preventable diseases ― a reality. “

The Travel Clinic says: "Education is the first step and the potential for saving lives is massive: protection for our children and our children’s children.

"This is why we at The Travel Clinic are passionate about our jobs.  Vaccines save lives. To discuss any vaccine requirements please book an appointment today at either our Ipswich or Cambridge Clinic."
