Lauterbach demonstrates how to analyse Multicore code at UK event

Leading software debug tool company Lauterbach has announced that it will be demonstrating how to analyse multicore code without instrumentation at this year's Multicore Challenge on the 23rd September.

The Multicore Challenge is a conference and tools event held every year near Bristol and Bath for engineers and developers working with the new generation of microprocessor technologies. This year the main themes are Architectures, Languages and Multicore for Mobile, with presentations and tool demonstrations from a wide range of industry experts.

"As software is becoming ever more complex and running at ever faster speeds, ensuring the integrity of the code is becoming increasingly challenging," explained Barry Lock, UK Manager of Lauterbach. "In this respect, we will be explaining the latest thinking on debug techniques and demonstrating the very latest debug technology."

This Multicore Challenge will consider both the challenges and opportunities in building products based on multiple cores. From embedded industrial/consumer products and PC applications to mobile phones and high performance computer clusters.

“We are very pleased to be a part of this Conference,” said Barry Lock. “It has a very strong agenda and I feel sure a lot of engineers will value this opportunity to discuss the challenges of multicore development.”

German based Lauterbach is recognised for both engineering excellence and exceptional technical support and its tools have become a favourite with many hi-tech engineers. Lauterbach tools support all the major families of embedded processor cores, covering products from 75 silicon companies. The quality and capability of these tools enable engineering teams to develop robust code whilst minimising development time lost to debugging.

The Multicore Challenge is built on the South West’s international reputation as hub for multicore research and development, both legacy (e.g. Inmos and Division) and the vast array of present day innovators (e.g. XMOS, ST, Imagination, MindSpeed and ARM). The high-calibre of speakers and tool demonstrations attracts a wide range of delegates and companies and continues to grow year-on-year.
