LDRA to give away copies of the MISRA C:2012 Coding Standard at Cambridge conference

Developers that register for the MISRA workshop at this year’s Reliable Software Developers’ Conference will receive a hardcopy of the latest guidelines on using the C language in critical systems.

Software analysis tool company, LDRA have announced that they will be giving away a hardcopy of the MISRA C:2012 guidelines to each delegate that registers for the half-day MISRA C:2012 workshop at this year’s Reliable Software Developers’ Conference

The Reliable Software Developers’ Conference is a one-day event for computer scientists, software programmers and managers working in the fields of safety critical software systems and high availability software systems. The Conference will take place in Bristol, Cambridge, Manchester and Uphall on May 20th, May 22nd, June 3rd and June 5th respectively.

MISRA C is a set of guidelines to aid the development of safety related systems in "C" in the automotive world. Since its inception, MISRA C has been widely adopted by the embedded systems community and has become the dominant, international coding guideline for the use of "C" in critical systems.

"During the MISRA C:2012 workshop we will discuss how developers can integrate the MISRA standard into their software development process,” said Ian Hennell, Operations Director at LDRA. “The workshop will discuss how to achieve full MISRA compliance, from requirements traceability through coding, analysis, testing, verification and certification. Delegates will also learn how to automate MISRA standards compliance into their project."

For more than 40 years, LDRA has developed and driven the market for software that automates code analysis and software testing for safety-, mission-, security- and business-critical markets. Working with clients to achieve early error identification and full compliance with industry standards, LDRA traces requirements through static and dynamic analysis to unit testing and verification for a wide variety of hardware and software platforms.

The Reliable Software Developers' Conference will bring together some of the world's leading experts in this field, to share their knowledge and experience.  This event will also host a broad range of companies that provide the tools and technologies necessary for the development of leading edge technology.

The conference will include a vendor exhibition, a ½-day technical workshop and a schedule of informative technical presentations. It will be free to attend for engineers, computer scientists, project managers and students in this field, although there will be a small charge for the ½ day workshops.

"It's shaping up to be a very productive event, " said Richard Blackburn, Conference Manager. "It has strong industry support and will cover a lot of important issues, so we are confident that developers will find this a worthwhile investment of their time."

This event is co-located with The UK Device Developers’ Conference, a conference for engineers, computer scientists and designers that work in the development of intelligent systems and devices.  For more information about this event please visit http://www.device-developer-conference.co.uk
