Life sciences – delivering growth

London Stansted Cambridge Consortium (LSCC) is hosting an event to question whether the South East’s rapidly growing life science cluster is being constrained by a lack of affordable space.

The free event will be held at QMB Bio Innovation Centre in Whitehall, London on 23rd April from 5pm until 6.30pm. The event launches major new research by the LSCC, which covers the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough area, looking at:

  • The scale and form of the sector’s growth in the region in the coming decade, which is projected to grow at 3% per annum
  • The key locations and investment opportunities to accommodate this growth
  • The event will also consider how to best attract and secure overseas investment, as well as how the LSCC can deliver the right type of space for Life Sciences.

The speakers are:

  • Sir William Castell, Chair, Wellcome Trust
  • Derek Jones, Chief Executive, Babraham Bioscience Technologies
  • Professor Simon Gaskell, Principal and President, Queen Mary University
  • Dr John Keddie, Chair, Harlow Enterprise Zone and formerly Vice-President, Global Operations, GlaxoSmithKline
