MCS ends 2013 with successful campaigns for Cambridge Ahead, REEL Cinemas and the NRA

Q4 of 2013 was a busy period for MCS as it helped launch Cambridge Ahead, developed a new brand identity and website refresh for REEL Cinemas, and ended with a Christmas promotion for the Newmarket Retailers Association.

The company writes:

MCS was instrumental in ensuring a successful launch for Cambridge Ahead (CA), the new business and academic membership organisation dedicated to the successful growth of the city region. Our work up to the launch event on 15th November consisted of developing a brand identity, building a website, email marketing to top executives from key Cambridge organisations, developing a social media presence, and creating marketing collateral. We also brought in Crosland Communications to help with PR, and Somersault TV to create two corporate videos, one of the Launch Event and the other entitled Why Cambridge Ahead?, both of which are expected to be key informational and selling tools in the coming months. As a Full Member of CA, MCS also works in the Promoting Cambridge project team, one of the three key agenda items for the first year.

November also saw us developing a unique brand promise and a stunning new brand identity for REEL Cinemas, the chain of 15 independent cinemas spread across England. This identity, plus fresh content and functionality improvements, transformed a very ordinary website to one that stands out from even those of the big cinema chains, and continues with ongoing monthly in-store collateral such as pricing posters. The work follows on from MCS' work for Vue Cinemas which also involved a total re-brand and in-store collateral.

Our final work for 2013 involved us creating a Christmas promotion for the Newmarket Retailers Association (NRA), for whom we had earlier created a new logo. Forest Heath District Council had already planned a Christmas Family Day for Newmarket High Street on Saturday 14th December and the NRA wanted to contribute via its own activity and raise its profile. A 'Santa Clues' competition was developed whereby children were encourgaged to visit specific shops to gather alphabetical letters in order to create a specific word. This skill-based competition was integrated with a prize draw to produce three lucky winners who were notified that evening by SMS.

Early 2014 sees us continuing our work with Cambridge Ahead, building a new website for North East Suffolk Citizens Advice Bureau and working to bring a live English National Opera event into a series of cinemas across the UK.
