Meet Cambridge celebrates 20th anniversary
Meet Cambridge, the conference and events bureau for Cambridge and the region, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and marking the occasion by holding a special charity fundraiser, with best-selling author and Telegraph journalist Bryony Gordon giving the keynote speech.
The event, which is being held on Wednesday 7th November from 6.00-8.00pm at Kettle’s Yard in Cambridge, is in aid of Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire (CPSL) Mind which focuses on support for those with mental health issues.
Tickets cost £15 per person and include a Pinkster Gin cocktail on arrival, exclusive access to the Kettle's Yard exhibits, drinks and canapes and the chance to win an exceptional experience with a free ticket in the charity raffle.
Kelly Vickers, Director of Meet Cambridge says: “Twenty years is an important milestone and we wanted to celebrate but also to raise awareness and funds for CPSL MIND, our designated charity.
“We are particularly delighted that Bryony Gordon has agreed to come and speak to us, as she is an avid advocate for mental health issues, having struggled with OCD, depression and anxiety.
“A huge thank you to all our sponsors for the event whose generosity means that 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to CPSL Mind.”
Isabel Cross, Head of Campaigns for CPSL Mind adds: “Raising awareness of mental health is such an important subject across all sectors. Having Meet Cambridge and a mental health champion like Bryony using this celebration to promote our work with individuals in real need of support means such a great deal to us.”
