The five new appointments mean that the full-service law firm has retained everyone who began training with it in September 2016.
Lauren Coote, Emily Ray and Fiona Smith are now based at Hewitsons’ Cambridge office, in Newmarket Road, working with the firm’s Contentious Trusts & Probate, Real Estate and Agriculture & Rural Property teams, respectively.
And at the firm’s Northampton office, in Billing Road, Helen Deady has joined the Agriculture & Rural Property team and Alexandra Svennevik is now working in Private Wealth.

Meanwhile, another nine have begun their own traineeships with the firm, having each completed their degrees and demonstrated a strong commitment to the profession.
In Cambridge, Husnain Ali, Anastassia Dimmek, Emma Elston and Jack Thorogood have joined Hewitsons’ Construction, Agriculture, Private Wealth and Corporate teams, respectively, while Joe Greenstock has begun training with both the Property Litigation and Contentious Trust & Probate teams, and Thomas Leach has started in Commercial Litigation and Risk & Compliance.
At the Northampton office, Charlotte Herrington has joined the Agriculture & Rural Property team and Saffa Mir is now working with Commercial Litigation and Contentious Trusts & Probate.
And at the firm’s London office, in Blackfriars, Edith Nnotum has joined the Corporate team.
Partner Clare Colacicchi added: “We are also pleased to be welcoming another group of trainees into our fold. Each has already shown a budding talent for legal practice, which our experienced Partners will help them to develop further over the next few years.”
All Hewitsons trainees spend two years with the firm, rotating between departments biannually. The firm specialises in all major areas of law, allowing the trainees to benefit from its wide-ranging expertise. Throughout this period, the firm’s Partners coach them in an array of legal skills, thorough both formal training sessions and practical experience.
During their traineeships, the trainees also assist with cases, interviews and other matters, as well as attending court hearings, regularly liaising with clients, and accompanying Solicitors to site visits and legal briefings.
