The new Linx Black Ink 1085 is chromium-free and does not contain halogens (Bromine and Chlorine). It complies with the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU Annex II, and meets the International Standard IEC 61249-2-21 concerning halogens.
Equally important, the ink is fully alcohol resistant meaning coding can be performed either before or after components are given an alcohol wash. This ensures flexibility of application, improved productivity and full traceability. Linx Black Ink 1085 is also extremely versatile with excellent adhesion on many different materials including coated and uncoated PCB, ceramics, metals and many plastics, making it suitable for a wide range of components and substrates.
The new Linx 7900E printer combines the benefits of the new ink with all the proven advantages of one of the most advanced CIJ printers on the market. Featuring a Micro printhead, the printer can code onto even the smallest of components with characters as small as 1.1mm, while also having the flexibility to create up to 4 lines of print, as well as logos and Data Matrix codes. For additional flexibility, the availability of a traversing printhead with tower printing configuration enables the coder to print in all directions with just one head.
For ease of use Linx Insight® software allows operators to monitor and control the Linx 7900E through a web browser, either via a PC or a web-enabled Smartphone. The Linx 7900 contains Linx’s successful FullFlush® automatic printhead cleaning system, mistake-proof refills with the SureFill® system and error-free code changes with QuickSwitch® software. The printer’s reliability is underlined by its 18 month extended warranty at no extra cost.
Linx Black Ink 1085 is also available for use on Linx 4900 and Linx 7900 printers, to enable coding over a wide range of print heights and line speeds with this ink.
