New tool enables social networking for commerce

Instead of telling the world what you’re eating for breakfast, you can use social networking to do something that’s meaningful. - Edward Norton

In 2012, 74% of marketers saw an increase in web traffic after investing just six hours per week into social media, and we know for a fact that the overwhelming majority of web users from every possible demographic are interacting with social networking sites on average between 40 and 100 times a day.

Larger companies now readily interact on a social level with their customers via sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, but often smaller independent companies are unfortunately left in the cold in his regard, due to the fact that the development of social plug-ins can be extremely costly.

In light of this problem, Rook resolved to develop a platform that would allow both smaller companies with considerable budget restraints as well as the market leaders to compete in the social arena with the ability to quickly and easily deploy promotions, games and quizzes across a number of the most popular social networking site.

The company says: "While the SocialPromote tool wasn’t specifically engineered for small to medium businesses per se, we’re really optimistic that these kinds of clients could benefit massively on a number of levels with this.

"The ability to meet with customers in this way not only brings brand awareness and loyalty, but also an insight into consumer behaviour with build in analytics. We’re really excited about this product, so here’s to the digital future!"
