NSIRC PhD students celebrate 5 years of world leading research and innovation

The National Structural Integrity Research Centre (NSIRC) is set to celebrate its fifth Anniversary, with an exhibition highlighting the high-quality research conducted by its PhD and MSc students.

Taking place on Thursday 12 October at TWI Ltd, Granta Park, between 14:00 and 15:30, visitors to the exhibition will be able to see a large display of the world-leading research conducted by NSIRC students over the past 5 years, as presented by the students themselves.

On display for this event will be over 30 research posters, as well as a selection of samples and prototypes produced as a part of the PhD research taking place each day on the site at TWI, within the state-of-the-art facilities.

At the centre of the celebrations will be a keynote speech from Ruth Boumphrey, Director of Research at the Lloyd’s Register Foundation.

NSIRC is successfully bridging the gap between industry and academia, within the field of structural integrity.

This celebration acknowledges the many personnel and organisations that play a part in the success of NSIRC. Since its founding in 2012, NSIRC students continue to produce world-leading research, collaborating with many of the most important and prestigious engineering companies and organisations from across the globe.
