The Global Cleantech 100 list compiles the most promising private clean technology companies globally, focusing on companies likely to make the most significant market impact in cleantech over the next 5-10 years.

The list is derived from Cleantech Group’s own research, combined with the weighted qualitative judgments of hundreds of nominations, and the viewpoints of a global 90-person Expert Panel. To qualify for the list, companies must be independent, for-profit, cleantech companies that are not listed on any major stock exchange. 5,864 companies were nominated from 60 countries, which was filtered down to a top 100 from 18 countries.
