Cambridge, Cambridgeshire – Prana Indian Restaurant is delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Voter’s Choice Restaurant of the Year category at the 15th English Curry Awards 2026, with the winners set to be announced on 10 August 2026 at the Grand Station in Wolverhampton.

The nomination marks a significant milestone in Prana's journey. The English Curry Awards were the first national awards to recognise the restaurant's achievements back in 2016, when Prana won both Best Restaurant Design in England and Best Indian Restaurant in East Anglia.

Now, a decade later, returning as a finalist once again is a proud moment for the entire team.

Kobir Ahmed, Owner of Prana, said:
"This nomination means a great deal to us because the English Curry Awards were where our national awards journey first began. Winning Best Restaurant Design in England and Best Indian Restaurant in East Anglia in 2016 gave us the confidence to continue investing in our restaurant, our food and our customer experience. To be recognised again ten years later is incredibly special. It reflects the dedication of our amazing team and the continued loyalty of our customers, many of whom have supported us from the very beginning. We are honoured to be shortlisted and wish every finalist the very best of luck."

Since opening, Prana has become one of Cambridge's leading independent Indian restaurants, combining authentic Indian cuisine with contemporary presentation and hospitality. The restaurant has earned multiple regional and national awards over the years while continuing to invest in innovation, customer experience and the local community.

The Voter’s Choice Restaurant of the Year category is particularly meaningful as it celebrates the support and appreciation of customers, making the nomination a reflection of the loyalty shown by diners over many years.

Kobir added:
"Awards are wonderful, but they only happen because customers continue to choose us for their corporate nights, celebrations, family meals, date nights and special occasions. This nomination belongs as much to them as it does to us."

Prana would also like to congratulate all of the other finalists and looks forward to celebrating the very best of the UK's curry industry at the awards ceremony in August.
