Claire Angus, who heads up the Network's Recruitment Gateway, says: "It was an incredibly busy evening, with some 300 job seekers signed up. Candidates were able to meet with a wide range of recruiting companies - including some of the region's most exciting technology organisations - and talk to their representatives about live vacancies."
For the first time, job seekers had the opportunity to receive a free Belbin report, assessing their individual strengths and weaknesses, ahead of the event. They were then able to meet with Belbin experts to discuss how to approach their job searches and career development. "This was an excellent feature," adds Claire. "One of the trainers from Belbin also gave a talk on 'Three ways to sell yourself better during the recruitment process' and it was standing room only! In addition, we had a careers zone manned by recruitment experts Kameo Recruitment and life coach CD Coaching, offering free 20-minute consultations.
"The feedback we've received from both exhibiting companies and candidates has been overwhelmingly positive.
