Redgate Software launches new Database Lifecycle Management partner program

Redgate Software, the leading Database Lifecycle Management (DLM) solutions company, today launched an international partner program to help customers apply Agile processes and extend Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) to databases.

The initiative comes in response to increasing interest in DLM – the extension of ALM to the database – as a means to improve efficiency, safety, and speed of database development and deployment.

As part of the program, consultants in the US, Europe, and Australia will be offering advice, training workshops, and services on database source control, continuous integration, and automated deployment.

“A major advantage for our customers”

“This new partner program is a major advantage for our customers,” says Ben Rees, Redgate General Manager. “DLM offers real business benefits in terms of the speed and reliability it brings to database development. But it does involve process changes and new tooling.

“These Redgate certified consultants are well respected in the ALM field, so they understand the special challenges that databases present, and Redgate helps solve – and they have the knowledge and skills to help users adopt the DLM side of ALM smoothly.”

Public workshops and tailored training

To kick start the program, Redgate’s international partners, including Crafting Bytes, The DevOpsGuys, Northwest Cadence, Skelton Thatcher, and WardyIT Solutions, are running a series of public workshops on database source control, continuous integration, and automated deployment.

Redgate certified partners will also offer custom training, consultancy, and services to customers, including a DLM Health Check, a two-day assessment of their database development and deployment practices, to help users understand the next steps they should take to improve their processes.

“Thanks to our certified partners, we can offer hands-on experience and tailored training in DLM to help users get started quickly with a streamlined process. This complements the articles, webinars, and other learning material Redgate is already renowned for,” says Stephanie Herr, Redgate Partner Manager.

“Between the convenience of Redgate’s software – our DLM solution already works with whatever ALM systems users have in place – and the availability of this training, it will be easier for organizations to include the database in their ALM practices than ever before.”
