Run the Cambridge Half Marathon for EACH

Applications for a charity’s places in next year’s Cambridge Half Marathon have opened. East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) has 40 spots in the popular 13.1-mile race that will take place on Sunday 8 March.

Having established itself as one of the country’s biggest and most beautiful half marathons since the inaugural staging in 2012, the 2020 staging is set to be the best yet. Participants will enjoy a flat run through the historic university city and take in some of Cambridge’s top sites, including the Round Church, King’s College and the Fitzwilliam Museum.

Bronte Graver: “We had a fantastic team taking part in the half marathon earlier this year and can’t wait to start working with a new group of runners ahead of the event in 2020. It’s a huge one in the city calendar now and definitely worth experiencing. Also, of course, for anyone who’s just secured a place in the London Marathon, the Cambridge Half Marathon takes place a little less than two months before and so could be great preparation.”

Applications for an EACH place close on Friday15 November. Successful applicants will have to pay a £25 registration fee and be asked to raise a minimum £250 sponsorship.

EACH currently offers care to 134 children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire and West Essex, and face-to-face support for 90 family members, as well as hundreds more across the rest of the region.
