Scott Bradbury helps to reduce rail worker errors

Scott Bradbury, local accuracy training specialists, have been working with signallers and controllers from Network Rail to help improve their attention to detail skills.

With workshops run in Ely and Romford in January, and further training scheduled next month in Milton Keynes, the focus is to increase awareness of how even the smallest mistakes have a knock-on impact. Mistakes waste time and cost money!

Following the workshop in Ely on the 14th, one participant commented, "<There were> many lessons learnt with regard to accuracy". The Ely participants showed great improvement, reducing their error rate by 65%.

Greg Fradd, Scott Bradbury Trainer, explains, "through a series of written, audio and visual exercises, delegates learn how to apply proven accuracy techniques, so that they read, check and transfer information both quickly and accurately. The techniques are made relevant to the delegates’ work by relating them to real examples of data they use in their everyday tasks. It was a pleasure to work with the Network Rail team and watch the participants increase in confidence"

Scott Bradbury’s core accuracy programmes Developing an Eye for Accuracy and Accurate Written Communication are delivered in-house and equip employees with practical error prevention techniques to increase productivity and efficiency. The open workshop, One-Day Accuracy Skills, is for individuals and smaller groups. To find out more about the programmes please visit the Scott Bradbury profile.
