Showcasing the enormous potential of UK|China collaboration

Cambridge China Centre are proud to sponsor a new category for the 29th Annual Business Weekly awards, the UK|China Business Award, showcasing the enormous potential of UK|China collaboration.

The award is for the company who has been an effective ambassador for UK|China trade and trust, and showcases the best of the many companies in Cambridge making the most of the potential for collaboration with China.

Trade with China has historically been a difficult area for businesses to crack, however recently Cambridge companies have made great strides in two-way trade with China. Well-known companies like Abcam, AstraZeneca and Horizon Discover are known for their business with China, whilst many other companies like Novacyt and the Moeller Centre are also wining contracts with China.  When Cambridge China Centre launched in July 2018, we set out to drive long-term UK|China business relationships and facilitate interaction and collaboration, through regular events and our annual Cambridge China Forum.

Through sponsoring this award, we are planning to showcase the many companies in Cambridge that are carrying out effective trade with China. Jinzhao Li, co-founder of Cambridge China Centre, said of the award, "While it is recognised that China’s economy presents rich opportunities for UK|China collaboration, the accomplishments of many Cambridge-based enterprises can go unnoticed. We are sponsoring this new award to recognise and highlight recent success stories and to encourage further relationships".

Business Weekly will shortly be announcing the short-list for the inaugural award.
