UK conference explores debugging of Linux for high performance systems

This year's Device Developers Conference will include a half-day workshop on developing and debugging of Linux for high performance embedded systems.

Leading debug tool company Lauterbach has announced that it will be presenting a half-day workshop at this year's UK Device Developers' Conference.

The “hands-on” workshop will guide developers in the development and debugging of Linux for high performance embedded systems and will explore how to approach a Linux project from the perspective of the development environment and debug tools.

The Device Developers’ Conference is to take place in Reading, Cambridge, Manchester and Uphall (Scotland) during May and June 2015 and is expected to attract more than 300 senior hi-tech developers.

"Linux has become an important Operating System choice for many embedded system platforms,” said Barry Lock, UK Manager at Lauterbach. “Access to source code, driver availability and a wide community of fellow developers has established Linux as an attractive option for a wide range of projects.”

The UK Device Developers' Conference is an annual event that explores the new technologies and tools used in the development of microprocessor controlled systems and electronics. The aim of the event is to provide a productive forum whereby engineers can meet key industry experts from software, design tool and hardware vendors. The Conference includes a choice of half-day technical workshops, two streams of technical presentations and a vendor exhibition.

"This is an important opportunity for engineers and developers to learn from an industry expert that has real-world experience in this field,” said Richard Blackburn, Conference Manager. “We are very pleased to have Lauterbach’s support for this year’s Conference; this quality of workshop really does help make the event a worthwhile investment of developers’ time.

Lauterbach tools have become a favourite with many hi-tech engineers, and the company is recognised for both engineering excellence and exceptional technical support. Lauterbach tools support all the major families of microprocessor cores, covering products from 75 silicon companies. The quality and capability of Lauterbach tools enable engineering teams to develop robust code whilst minimising development time lost to debugging.
