Venues Open Doors to showcase facilities for conferences and events

A total of 38 venues in and around Cambridge are showcasing their facilities for meetings, conferences and corporate dining as part of a series of Open Doors events.

Organised by Meet Cambridge, the conference and events bureau for Cambridge and the region, the exclusive showrounds are limited to 12 people and comprise two or three venues all within one session – making it effective for organisers in terms of time.

Places on the tours need to be reserved but are free of charge to event organisers.

Most tours within the city are on foot but for those beyond, complimentary transport to and from central Cambridge is provided.

The next Open Doors event will take place on Wednesday 5th September, from 10.00am – 11.40am when attendees will visit:

•           Hughes Halls modern, purpose-built, conference centre can cater for groups from five to 90. The Conference Suite contains the large Pavilion Room and two smaller Seminar Rooms, connected by the Atrium, which provides a perfect spot for breaks, lunch or a registration point. The excellent catering ranges from light refreshments to buffet lunches and drinks receptions to silver service dinners.

•           The Gonville Hotel offers two meeting rooms which are ideal for holding conferences and meetings for up to 40 delegates and include projection equipment and high speed Wi-Fi. Situated in the heart of Cambridge, the Hotel is an ideal base for visiting one of the University of Cambridge Colleges or the Botanic Gardens.
