What the EU is trying to change in the years ahead

The North Sea Region Programme of the European Union announced its first call for Projects under the new 2021-2027 programme on 16 December, 2021. EFEC is working with University of Groningen to develop a project proposal to speed up technology transfer in the circular economies of rural areas.

The priorities reflect what really matters to the EU with the economic prosperity and its impact in the countries of the North Sea Region (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, France).

The North Sea Region societies and labour markets will continue to be transformed by the impact of Industry4.0. 

Therefore, a workforce with up-to-date knowledge and improved digital and entrepreneurial skills is needed, especially in SMEs, which serve as the foundation for business competitiveness, innovation and growth in the region. Sound familiar?
