Windows 10 free upgrade offer ends 29 July

14-07-2016

Back in September last year software training expert Karen Roem sounded a note of caution as Microsoft Windows 10 was being offered to Windows users free of charge.

With the end of the free upgrade promotion approaching (29 July), Karen is fulfilling her promise to report back after looking at the changes.

Karen – author of Cambridge Network’s popular Tame your computer series on this site – says: “ I don’t want to pass the buck, but it’s your decision.

“Windows 10 has improved a lot since its launch and most hiccups have been ironed out.

"But Microsoft will continue to support Windows 7 until January 2020, so you can stick with it until then. And while you wait, Windows 10 might even get better.”
